Privacy Policy

We only ask for what we need to reply to you, we don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we never sell your information.

01About this policy

This policy explains how Lystout (“Lystout”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit this website (the “Site”) or get in touch with us.

The Lystout mobile app is not yet publicly available. When it launches, it will come with its own privacy notice covering how the app handles your information.

02Information we collect

Information you give us

When you use the form on our Contact page, we collect:

  • your name and email address;
  • your neighborhood or city, if you choose to share it;
  • the topic you select and the message you write.

When you join our waitlist, we collect your name, email address and area or city, and your WhatsApp number if you choose to give it. If you join as a merchant, we also collect your business name, type of business and phone number.

If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to share with us, along with your email address or phone number.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is used to run and secure the Site.
  • Spam protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending them. To do this, Cloudflare processes technical signals from your browser and your IP address.

What we don't do

We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, we don't track you across other websites, and we don't sell your personal information.

03How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • read and reply to your message;
  • let you know when Lystout launches in your area, if you joined the waitlist, and talk to merchants about joining;
  • understand what merchants, families and partners are looking for from Lystout;
  • keep the Site and our contact form secure and free of spam;
  • meet our legal obligations.

We process the information you send us on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form or contact us. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to urjit.rajgor@gmail.com.

04Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Site, and only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Vercel, which hosts the Site;
  • Resend, which delivers contact-form and waitlist submissions to our inbox by email;
  • Cloudflare, which provides the Turnstile spam check on our forms;
  • our email provider, where your message is received and stored.

If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. Some of these providers may process information on servers outside India.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Lystout, our users or others.

05How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, such as following up on your inquiry or telling you about our launch, or for as long as the law requires. You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time. After that, we delete it.

06Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
  • correct, complete or update it;
  • erase it;
  • stop using it, by withdrawing your consent.

To make a request, email urjit.rajgor@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

07Security

The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, though, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

08Children

The Site is not directed at children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

The Site may link to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp. We are not responsible for how they handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
